Building Recovery Together — Across Maine and Beyond

An Angel's Wing has spent nearly a decade building a peer-driven, community-based recovery model that works. We are open to conversations with funders, healthcare partners, community organizations, and groups in other states who want to replicate or collaborate on what we have built.

What Makes Our Model Work

Nine years of building, learning, and refining — here is what we know.

Peer-Driven Model

Our recovery coaches and staff have lived experience with substance use disorder. Peer support is not a supplement — it is the foundation of everything we do.

MARR-Certified Standards

Our recovery residences meet the Maine Association of Recovery Residences' rigorous certification standards — a framework recognized by state agencies and funders across New England.

Inclusive & Affirming

We serve everyone — LGBTQ+ individuals, women and children, families, and anyone seeking recovery. Trauma-informed, culturally responsive care is non-negotiable.

Community-Based Infrastructure

From our Recovery Community Center to our thrift store to our named recovery homes, we build real community infrastructure — not just programs.
