Our non-profit corporation An Angel’s Wing Inc. began in 2017. We are mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, friends and providers directly affected by the opioid crisis that has taken control of our country, killing an entire generation.
We are striking back and with your help, we can make a difference! With your help, our future includes retail locations across the country funding quality rehabilitation and recovery opportunities with focus on prevention for those in need.
Debra has been in the customer service and business sector her entire life. For the past 18 years she has owned and operated her own successful business as well as attending the university of Maine in Augusta working towards her bachelors degree in business management.
Recently she has began pursuing a degree in human services with focus on substance use. A mother of four adult boys, she has dedicated her life to helping other people become successful.
Co-Founder
Wendy is a registered nurse at Mid Coast- Parkview Health Services in Brunswick, Maine. She works part-time in the maternity unit. She has been an employee at Mid Coast - Parkview Health Services, since 1995 and she has also been an employee at the University of Southern Maine since 2005, teaching reproductive, maternal- newborn health clinical for the school of nursing.
Wendy will complete her masters in Nursing Education at the University of Southern Maine in May 2018 and plans to go on to start her Ph.D. in Nursing Education in September of 2018. Wendy has been a registered nurse since 1995. During that time, she has worked in many capacities, such as managing a sub-acute unit, hospital base, to working as the float nurse on all the hospital's units.
Wendy is proud to be a part of, “An Angel’s Wing” and is very passionate about its mission and future goals.
Clarice has worked in non-profit for 25 years, with over 12 of those years as Director of Finance. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at Husson University and is currently in her last year studying for her MBA. She has attending various other trainings including Risk Management, Process
Improvement and Nonprofit Leadership.
Shannon is a determined Mother of 3, a Wife, business owner & entrepreneur Who discovered An Angels wing a short time after someone close to her struggled with addiction.
She believes strongly in the work and mission of An Angel’s Wing and it’s continued support of our community. Shannon is a go getter with a huge heart who has devoted herself to ending the stigma and helping those struggling with SUD.
Peggy Ouellette (Woo-let) is an author, speaker, mother, grandmother and the founder of Functional Family Psychiatry. She is a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and uses a unique whole family, root-cause approach instead of medication and therapy to help families become the healthiest, happiest, and most connected they have ever been.
Lana has a passion for helping others and has been supporting people in the Lewiston Auburn Community for the last 15 years. Through her roles in mental health, substance use and homelessness initiatives including youth development, domestic violence, LGBTQ and parenting work in nonprofit and social work settings, Lana has grown into a leader in agency development. Supporting many affected by Substance Use Disorder in our community over the years Lana looks forward to building connections with AAW.
Lana is currently the Development Director of Blue Sky Counseling a Substance Use Disorder treatment agency. Blue Sky recently opened an office in Lewiston and looks forward to supporting this area with medication assisted treatment and therapeutic intervention. As many working in the field of recovery Lana has both professional and personal experience with people that have struggled on their journey to recovery. “I want to support people who are ready to get treatment to gain access immediately and as easily as possible, unfortunately there are not enough resources available.” Through supporting the mission of An Angel Wing Lana hopes to break down those barriers.
Lana also has two beautiful children and owns a property acquisition and management company Unlock&Main. When she is not working Lana is at the ball fields with her kids, exploring beaches, hosting family gatherings or painting something. Her fun, ambitious and creative style will be a great asset in making AAW more visible in the community, enabling new connections and helping more people.
Kylie is a practicing Registered Nurse who currently works in outpatient practice. She has been in the medical field for the last 20 years, starting out as a Medical Assistant and gaining her RN in 2016 from the University of Maine. A mother to three and stepmother to two, her passion in life is her family.
Kylie has witnessed Substance Use Disorder and it effects on individuals and their families firsthand and is hopeful to educate and offer support to others in the community who struggle with this disease either with themselves or others.
In her free time, you will find her shopping at the local thrift stores looking for bargains and spending quality time with her family.
Ileshea is a mother, wife, teacher, farmer, former business owner, and sales person who believes in the power of An Angel’s Wing. She wants to work to create more community awareness surrounding the challenges facing those who struggle with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and their desire to recover sobriety.
She hopes that increased awareness, and opportunities of options created by An Angel’s Wing will provide more chances for everyone’s children. Her proudest claim to date has been the privilege of being a mother to three incredible children.
Ileshea lives in Poland with 3 dogs, 6 cats, 6 sheep, 2 goats, a lizard, a rat and way too many chickens.
With a degree in Culinary Arts, a love of baking and a passion for helping others, An Angel’s Wing was the perfect fit for Danielle.
Donating her time to the bakery at An Angel’s Wing has helped spread the cause through the participation of craft fairs and multiple local events.
During her down time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her three kids and enjoying just about any outdoor activity.
Jamie Bannister is a seasoned psychiatric healthcare worker having worked in multiple capacities as a Registered Nurse since 2012. In her capacity as a Registered Nurse, she worked with clients both inpatient and directly from the community in mental health, substance abuse treatment, and those dually diagnosed. Most notably working in the behavioral emergency department and the chemical dependency unit at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center from 2011-2020. She decided to briefly pause her work life to finish her master's degree and better serve her community by becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is currently working at SaVida Health. Jamie has a heart for her Maine community, specifically for those faced with the reality of substance use disorders.
Kathy comes to us with much business, retail and managerial experience.
Her passion for this mission is quite personal, as close family members
have struggled long and hard. She dedicates many hours to the support of our thrift store and people with substance use disorder.
Kathy is a master floral designer,and in her free time enjoys being creative and taking care of her gardens and house plants.
Join us at the Hilton Garden Inn on October 12th for Our 7th annual gala, Angel's Charity Ball. Our Charity Ball is dedicated to supporting those affected by addiction. An Angel's Wing focuses on hope and healing for those in our state and community.
